MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Collin Klein, K-State football’s new head coach, has returned home.
Klein’s return comes after Chris Klieman’s retirement.
K-State football hiring Collin Klein as next head coach
Klein arrived at the Kansas Jet Center Friday morning, officially embarking on his journey as the Wildcats’ 36th head coach.
Klein played for K-State from 2008 to 2012, winning the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year his senior year.
He was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 2012 and led the Wildcats to a Fiesta Bowl appearance in 2013.

The welcoming event for Klein’s return will be hosted at the Morgan Family Arena at 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5.
