CANTON — And the rubber match goes to the Bishop Watterson Eagles.
Watterson played Toledo Central Catholic in the Division III state final for the third season in a row and for the second time in a row, the Eagles won.

The momentum came early and never subsided for Watterson (14-0), which won its fourth state championship in program history (2002, 2010, 2024).
The Eagles hit the Fighting Irish (11-5) early and rolled the rest of the way, relying on a staunch defense.
Jack McCoy started things early for Watterson when he scored on a 1-yard touchdown to cap things off with 6:53 left in the first.
