BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - After brainstorming ideas of how to give back to the community with area businesses and leaders, those at the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce hosted a pasta drive for Noodle-Vember or November.
Friday was the day to count it all up and give it to the area food pantries that are uplifting the community.
“We have five area food pantries coming to take all of it out of the chamber of commerce to their pantries and then distribute it to people who could really benefit from a good meal,” said Deb Neuman, the president and CEO of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce.
Neuman counted 2,600 pounds of pasta, 900 jars and cans of sauce and dozens of other items.
