WILLIAMSPORT — The federal government is seeking an 15-year sentence for a former Cumberland County man who pleaded guilty in a stolen body parts case.
The conduct of Jeremy K. Pauley was “unusually heinous and degrading,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin wrote Friday in a U.S. Middle District Court filing.
Pauley is awaiting sentencing Dec. 22 on charges of interstate transportation of stolen property and conspiracy to commit the same crime to which he pleaded guilty in September 2023.
He admitted buying and selling stolen body parts and in a recorded FBI interview said it is his living and he made $180,000 doing so in 2022.
Pauley also pleaded guilty in Cumberland County to possessing stolen body parts and was placed on two years’ probation.
