Portland real estate firm SKB acquired the Gus J. Solomon U.S. Courthouse this week for $1.8 million, according to a deed filed with Multnomah County.
Designed in the late 1920s, the courthouse at 620 S.W. Main St. has over its history housed post office operations, military branches, the U.S. District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals. Gus Solomon served as a federal judge for 37 years, according to a history of the building posted by the General Services Administration.
SKB President Todd Gooding did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Portland firm’s plans for the approximately 40,000 square foot property.
Real estate firm CBRE brokered the sale.
