OR-58 is shut down 6 miles south of McCredie Springs at milepost 51 in Lane County due to a vehicle crash the afternoon of Dec. 5, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Officials said the roadway will be closed for an extensive period of time.

Drivers are advised to search for an alternative route, slow down, and watch for emergency responders in the area.
