OMAHA, Neb. —
The holiday season is all about giving people a reason to sing, giving children a reason to dream, and giving everyone something to dream about.
With over 2,000 decorations and 1,000 twinkling lights, the tree at Union Station in 1995 was nothing like anything the children in the audience had ever seen. And it was nothing like what they had at home.
"As big as me, but me and a half," said one of the kids.
The tree transformed Union Station into a winter fantasy land where songs filled the air and the top was a reindeer and a jolly old man in a suit.
