LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Believe it or not, a warming trend is set to take place this weekend as rain chances continue to drop!

We’ll have a cloudy start Saturday with a couple showers or areas of drizzle not out of the question. However, we should see some clearing in the afternoon and evening which will allow temperatures to rebound near 60 degrees. The big question will be if enough cloud cover hangs on to prevent temperatures from reaching that mark, regardless it will not be as frigid as the past couple days.

Sunday looks even warmer as southerly winds allow temperatures to climb near 70 degrees! This means it should be much warmer for any outdoor plans. The next cold front is not far away though and that will move through by Sunday evening.
