WACO, Texas — The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program is experiencing unprecedented support this holiday season, with all angels adopted by Dec. 4 – weeks earlier than usual. But behind the numbers is a heartwarming story of how one act of childhood kindness has come full circle.

A Christmas Memory That Lasted a Lifetime

Christel Flores remembers every detail of the Christmas gifts she received as a child through the Angel Tree program.

"I still remember to this day... I was given a discovery book and then a dinosaur book," Flores recalled. "I remember every single present that I got."
