GREENSBORO, N.C. — Samaritan's Purse President and CEO Franklin Graham described terrifying moments on a flight that brought medical supplies to people uprooted by conflict in South Sudan this past Tuesday.
"The guy said, 'I’m going to kill you, and I'm going to count to three, and I'm going to kill you,’” Graham said in the Samaritan’s Purse hangar in Greensboro.
Leaders with the Christian aid group based in Boone, North Carolina, said a hijacker snuck onto the plane and hid in the rear cabin before takeoff.
"A man was able to sneak onto the plane. It’s a small airplane, but he hid himself behind the cargo barrier,” Graham explained.
He said the man pulled a gun, demanding to be taken to Chad, another African country.
