MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - Marian High School’s annual Toys for Tots collection is underway, with football team members assisting in the toy collection process.
Community members have been collecting toys and dropping off cash donations for weeks. The school will drop off all donations on Saturday.
“Part of our mantra here is learn, love, and lead. We are serving the community here. I probably have a couple thousand dollars here to donate. We have hundreds of toys to donate and that’s just part of what we do here at Marian High School,” said Nick Kaczynski, assistant principal for student formation at Marian High School.
Last year, nearly 13,000 children received toys through the Toys for Tots program.
Kaczynski said the school is proud to continue the tradition of serving the community.
