MARION, Iowa (KCRG) - Marion Parks and Recreation will open its ice loop to the public Friday night after weather pushed back the initial opening.

The ice loop will open at 7:00 p.m. Friday following an ice-skating demonstration by the Eastern Iowa Figure Skating Club.

The loop was initially set to open November 29, but was pushed back due to a large snow storm. The opening was pushed back again Thursday due to temperatures that were not safe for the public.

The ice loop will operate on the following schedule:

Thursday: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Friday: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Saturday: 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
