OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Local Omaha realtor groups have spent over a decade bell ringing for the Salvation Army to give back to their community.

Competing to raise the most money at each location, some groups have their own traditions when volunteering each year.

It’s a friendly battle of the bell ringers.

“We definitely want to be the location that raises the most. There’s not an actually prize for it, except for pride,” laughed Bill Swanson, an Omaha Area Board of Realtors member who’s been ringing with his group for 15 years now.

“We initially thought, ‘Well, we’ll go ring at one location,’ but then decided, ‘Well let’s broaden it!’ So we’re at, I think, 50 some locations,” said Bill.
