As the fallout continues around the It Ends with Us behind-the-scenes drama, Blake Lively helped at least one co-star land his next role.

The Housemaid director Paul Feig recently revealed that the actress encouraged him to cast her former romantic lead Brandon Sklenar in his upcoming psychological thriller, which premieres Dec. 19 in theaters.

“Blake Lively had just worked with Brandon,” Feig told E! News . “She just kept going on and on about how great he is. And I met him and was like, ‘Yes, you are great and I love you.'”

In between working with the director on A Simple Favor (2018) and Another Simple Favor (2025), Lively co-starred with Sklenar in last year’s It Ends With Us , which has since been overshadowed by her and Justin Baldoni ‘s legal battle .
