The Cal Poly football team added 17 players during the early signing period highlighted by three-star Arroyo Grande wide receiver Caleb Clark.
Clark was the 2024 Mountain League MVP and a four-year varsity player who finished his career with 3,792 all-purpose yards in 43 games.
This past season Clark helped the Eagles win the CIF-Central title with a win over Bakersfield, where he caught 38 passes for 677 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran the ball 67 times for 844 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The Mustangs also signed thee star quarterback Berell Staples and three star defensive back Demetrius Simon.
Staples attended McClymonds High School in Stockton, where he threw for 3,280 yards and 42 touchdowns over 18 varsity games.
