SOUTH ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- A suburban man is really getting into the holiday spirit of giving.

He saves up all year to buy toys for children in need, through the Toys for Tots program.

David Luplow, 35, was born with Down syndrome, but he doesn't let that stop him.

Luplow was recently practicing math with his teacher at Rising Lights Project in Saint Charles. The school is a place for adults with Down syndrome and other disabilities

"David is the life of the party, loves Elvis," said Jessica Trevino, with Rising Lights Project.

And despite the struggles he deals with, he is more concerned about helping others. That's why he saves money all year to buy toys to donate to the South Elgin Fire District Toys for Tots campaign.
