CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have issued a warning about a series of disturbing crimes that start on a dating app.

The sexual assaults and robberies happened in Woodlawn on the city's South Side.

Police say they've received reports of three incidents where women went to meet a man and he led them into an apartment.

Then, police say the man showed a gun, assaulted the victims, and took their belongings.

The suspect also used the victim's phones to transfer money from their accounts, CPD said.

The incidents date back to October.

Chicago police said the crimes happened at the following locations and times:

-6400 block of South Ingleside Avenue on Oct. 3 around 3 p.m.

-6400 block of South Ingleside Avenue on Oct. 17 around 12
