WASHINGTON D.C. (KCTV) - The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw on Friday in Washington D.C. revealed which teams could play at Arrowhead Stadium this summer.

Forty-eight teams were slotted into groups during the draw ceremony at the Kennedy Center, with world leaders and superstar athletes participating in the process. The tournament features an expanded format for the first time.

Kansas City will host group stage matches from Groups E, F and J , meaning soccer superpowers including Argentina and Germany could play at Arrowhead Stadium.

Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni told KCTV5 he expects his team to play in KC.
