EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On Friday, Michigan State University engineering students had the chance to display what they’ve learned during “Design Day.”
“Design Day” is where the senior engineering students showcase the projects they have been working on throughout the semester.
One team of students says their project is designed to reduce food waste.
“It captures footage of items being loaded in and out of the fridge, and then keeps essentially like a digital diary of what’s going on in your fridge so that users can better grocery shop and better optimize their kitchen habits,” said student Salma Elsaadany.
“Design Day is held twice a year, once in the fall semester and again in the spring semester.
