INDIANAPOLIS —

An Indiana state senator is expected to file a bill that would allow executions to be conducted via firing squad.

Senate Bill 11 was written by Indiana state Sen. Michael Young, a Republican from central Indiana.

The first reading of the bill is expected on Monday.

Since Indiana resumed capital punishment in 2024, three people have been executed.
