In an effort to strengthen rural livelihoods and promote backyard poultry farming, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services distributed day-old Khaki Campbell ducklings to 20 beneficiaries on 5th December 2025, at the Veterinary Dispensary in Manglutan.

The high-quality ducklings were sourced from the Central Poultry & Duck Hatchery, Dollygunj, ensuring disease-free stock with strong genetic traits. Each beneficiary received a batch of healthy ducklings along with expert guidance on scientific rearing practices, including housing, feeding, vaccination schedules, and biosecurity measures aimed at improving survival and productivity.
