Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer may not be married anymore, but they remain very close friends.

The 48-year-old jewelry designer was on a recent episode of The Inside Edit podcast where she spoke about her divorce from the 50-year-old actor and where their relationship stands now.

“I actually think that my divorce has been one of my greatest teachers,” Jennifer said, per Us Weekly . “It teaches you patience, and you’re also raising [kids together]. Our daughter was 10 or something, so those are some intense times that you need to stay connected.”
