A devastating drone attack by Sudanese paramilitary units has resulted in a tragic incident at a kindergarten in south-central Sudan, claiming the lives of 50 people, including 33 children, according to a doctors' group. The strike occurred in the town of Kalogi, South Kordofan state.

Tragically, paramedics attending the scene were assaulted in a subsequent, unexpected attack. This violent incident is part of ongoing clashes between the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese military, a conflict that has persisted for over two years, now concentrated in the oil-rich Kordofan states.
