The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has issued show-cause notices to Mithun Rai and MLC Ivan D’Souza for raising slogans in support of DK Shivakumar and against party discipline at Mangaluru Airport when Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived in the city yesterday.

The incident occurred as part of a centenary celebration of the dialogue between Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi. KC Venugopal had arrived in Mangaluru from Kerala to attend the program. As he was exiting the airport, Congress leaders Mithun Rai and his supporters raised slogans backing DK Shivakumar and demanded that he be made Chief Minister.
