A guest on BBC Breakfast became emotional whilst discussing losing her mother to motor neurone disease (MND).

Professional golfer Tara Carrick is amongst those backing rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield as he undertakes seven ultramarathons in seven days in honour of his former teammate Rob Burrow, who had MND.

She featured on the BBC programme on Saturday (December 6) to speak about her mother's death in August this year, following a 13-month battle with the condition, reports the Express .
