Human remains which were discovered on farmland have been confirmed as a man missing for 18 months.

Police confirmed the remains have been formally identified as belonging to Trevor Blanchard, who vanished in June 2024.

The discovery was made on farmland in Halten Holegate, Lincolnshire, on November 22.

Detectives say there are not believed to be any "suspicious circumstances or foul play" linked to the death of the 61-year-old.

Officers said Mr Blanchard's family had been informed of the tragic news.
