NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has issued a strict directive to IndiGo, ordering the airline to clear all pending passenger refunds for cancelled or disrupted flights by 8 PM on 7 December 2025. The move comes amid ongoing operational disruptions and growing passenger grievances over delayed reimbursements and added charges.
Under the Ministry’s instructions, airlines have been told not to levy any rescheduling fees on affected passengers. MoCA has warned that any non-compliance will attract immediate regulatory action.
IndiGo has also been directed to establish dedicated passenger support and refund cells, ensure proactive communication with travellers, and continue offering automatic refunds until operations return to normal. The aim is to reduce passenger inconvenien
