Nagpur : In compliance with directions from the Supreme Court, the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has announced a series of statewide public hearings to gather feedback from consumers and stakeholders on the review petition filed by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). One of these hearings will be held in Nagpur on January 3, 2026.

MERC has invited consumers, industry bodies, and other interested groups to submit their suggestions and objections by 5 pm on December 27, 2025. According to a public notice issued on Friday across multiple newspapers, MSEDCL is required to respond to each objection within three days of receipt, and no later than December 31, 2025, for submissions received within the deadline.
