Haryana CM orders rooftop solar system in all Govt buildings to boost clean energy push

Chandigarh, December 6, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed that all government buildings—including schools, colleges, hospitals, offices and godowns—be equipped with rooftop solar systems as part of the state’s accelerated shift towards clean and green energy.

Chairing a high-level review meeting on Budget announcements for the Power (Energy) sector at the Civil Secretariat, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the PM Suryaghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. He instructed officials to expedite rooftop solar installations across households and emphasised strict month-wise monitoring and accountability.

Saini also ordered the creation of solar parks across Haryana
