Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday directed officials to install rooftop solar panels on all government buildings across the state, including schools, colleges, hospitals, offices and godowns, as part of a major push toward clean and green energy.
The directive was issued during a high-level review meeting on power sector budget announcements held at the Civil Secretariat.
Saini emphasised that the initiative is central to Haryana’s strategy to accelerate renewable energy adoption and reduce reliance on conventional sources. He instructed departments to fast-track installations under the PM Suryaghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, which aims to promote household rooftop solar systems nationwide.
