The leader of the opposition and CPI (M) state secretary Jiten Chowdhury has demanded rethinking by the state government on the issue of retrenched 10,323 teachers in the light of the recent judgment of the Calcutta high court’s division bench on the fate of 26 thousand teachers in West Bengal . Speaking to media persons Jiten said that the jobs in Tripura had gone on procedural grounds and there was absolutely no corruption charge but what happened in West Bengal was altogether different as the jobs had been terminated by court on specific and widespread corruption charges and gross irregularities in recruitment.
