Friday, during an appearance on Rightside Radio, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, a candidate for U.S. Senate, commented on the U.S. Supreme Court decision a day earlier approving the State of Texas' effort to implement a congressional map favorable to the GOP for the 2026 midterms.
The SCOTUS ruling overturned a lower court ruling that declared the Texas map unconstitutional.
Marshall said while it is not directly connected to Alabama's legal battles over redistricting, he applauded the move.
