The Disney Treasure recently completed its first year of service for Disney Cruise Line after being handed over on October 24, 2024 .
As the second ship in the company’s Wish class, the LNG-powered vessel was built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
Following its delivery, the Treasure made a technical call to Portugal’s Madeira Island ahead of crossing the Atlantic on its way to North America.
The vessel then arrived in Port Canaveral in mid-November to kick off a series of pre-inaugural events and celebrations.
Later that month, the vessel was christened at a special ceremony at the port of New York City , which included a synchronized showcase of 1,000 drones set to a medley of Disney songs.
The event also featured a lightshow with Disney adventures represented
