Two minors from the Putia border area in Sepahijala district were injured on Saturday in what is suspected to be firing by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, according to health officials at the Bishalgarh Subdivision Hospital.
Dr. Arijit Sinha, Sub-Divisional Medical Officer (SDMO), confirmed that the children were brought to the hospital separately with multiple injuries on their bodies and heads. “What has been known so far is that they were most likely hit by BSF firing,” he said, adding that the wounds resembled impact marks caused by rubber bullets.
