Star South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock, on Saturday, December 6, went past ace India batter Virat Kohli to become the batter with the highest conversion rate from 50s to 100s in ODIs, at 41.81%. The latter is at 41.4%.
De Kock struck his seventh ODI hundred against India in the third game at Visakhapatnam. He got there in 80 deliveries, reaching the milestone in the 30th over by pulling Harshit Rana for his sixth six.
This was de Kock’s seventh ODI hundred in just 23 innings against India, the most by any cricketer. He now joins Sanath Jayasuriya on seven hundreds, though the Sri Lankan great needed 85 innings to reach the mark.
