BISMARCK — A Bismarck man accused of abusing children in Thailand was called a "violent polygamist" in recently released court documents.
Court documents filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in North Dakota revealed several details about child sex abuse allegations against 40-year-old Sean David Snyder. He is charged in U.S. District Court with three counts each of traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and engaging in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places.
He also faces one count of possessing child sex abuse materials.
A grand jury indicted Snyder on the charges last month. The indictment said Snyder traveled from North Dakota to Phuket, Thailand, between 2018 and Aug. 15, 2025, where he sexually abused two children.
