LOGAN — A 41-year-old garage door installer from Hyrum has admitted to stealing money from two customers. Kyle Bret Hansen, owner of Apex Garage Doors, was arrested earlier this year following an investigation by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court documents, Hansen appeared Nov. 24 in Logan’s 1st District Court. He accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to two counts of theft by deception, amended to a third-degree felony. Two remaining charges were dismissed.

According to prosecutors, deputies were contacted in June by one of the victims. They described paying Hansen $4,065 to install a new garage door.
