Dhiraj Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), is an Indian Information Service Officer of the 1995 batch. An MA and MPhil in International Relations, he studied at Allahabad University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, and was visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.

An avid film watcher, Singh has written, ‘Modern Masters of Cinema’, an anthology of the major figures in cinema. He was at the Indian Express office in Pune for an interaction with the team and talked about future plans for the institute, soon to become a deemed university amongst other things.
