Expect a cold morning Saturday and some slippery conditions, thanks to an overnight refreeze of wet roadways after snowfall blanketed the D.C. region Friday.
Some patchy freezing fog and the refreezing may make driving hazardous Saturday. “Watch out for slick spots” if you’re venturing out this morning, said 7News First Alert Meteorologist Jordan Evans.
Temperatures will eventually tick up from the 20s in the morning to the mid 40s by the afternoon, all under partly sunny skies. “It’ll take some time to warm up today even with the sunshine out there,” Evans said.
Light winds are expected across the region, according to the National Weather Service.
But the very temporary respite from low temperatures is gone by nightfall. Evans said to expect another cold night as temperatures dropping
