POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. — The Powder Springs Police Department said a man was taken into custody after a shooting left two elderly victims dead.
According to police, officers were called to a reported domestic incident at a home on Yoshino Terrace on Saturday at around 12:30 p.m.
When they arrived at the location, officers said they found two victims, who are both in their 70s, suffering from gunshot wounds. The two victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, where police say they died.
Police said a 31-year-old man who lives at the home was detained.
No other information regarding this scene was released, but police said they believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
