New Delhi, Dec 07: Manohar Lal, Minister of Power, highlighted the crucial role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in enhancing consumer-centric, self-optimizing power distribution networks during a National Conference in New Delhi.

He emphasized that AI/ML solutions, such as smart meter analytics, predictive maintenance, and theft detection, could significantly improve consumer experiences and operational efficiency.

The Minister called for active consumer engagement to alleviate misinformation surrounding new technologies and ensure their adoption in the power sector.

The Conference showcased innovations from various stakeholders, including Distribution Companies (DISCOMs) and Technology Solution Providers (TSPs), with 195 applications submitted for evaluation.
