A teenager who was hit by a car and dragged from the pavement onto a verge is calling for safety measures at a “dangerous” roundabout.

Talin Briggs, from Challock, had alighted a bus near The Stag pub on Tuesday, November 25, and was heading home from sixth form when she heard tyres screech.

A Land Rover had crashed with a lorry and then careened into her, knocking her to the floor and dragging her for about a metre.

The 17-year-old told how, even though she suffered only minor injuries in the accident, the ordeal could have had devastating consequences.

“It was quick. Human instinct just kicks in. But it was really scary,” she said.

“I was just walking up the road, and I heard a noise, so I turned around, and the Land Rover was coming for me.
