An IT problem is causing chaos for GP practices across Kent, with surgeries unable to access their clinical software.

It is understood to be causing delays in accessing patients’ records, booking appointments and processing prescriptions.

A patient who attended an appointment at Brewer Street Surgery in Maidstone this morning said it was “scrambling” with appointments.

Practices also known to be affected include Spinghead Health in Northfleet and Newton Place Surgery in Faversham.

However, it is understood to be a problem nationally, with practices elsewhere in the country also reporting similar issues.
