Mohamed Salah in action for Egypt
The Football Association of Egypt have come out in support of Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool star gave an explosive post-match interview that has led to questions over his future at Anfield .
Salah had started 53 successive Premier League champions for the Reds before he was dropped for last week's 2-0 win at West Ham United. The two-time league winner was then a second-half substitute in Wednesday's 1-1 home draw with Sunderland before playing no part in Saturday evening's 3-3 draw at Leeds United.
Speaking after the game, Salah revealed his relationship with head coach Arne Slot had broken down and he accused the club of being "thrown under the bus" in a remarkable exchange with a handful of reporters inside the tunnel at Elland Road.
