(WNDU) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish remain in the top 10 and the Indiana Hoosiers are making more history in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll .

The Irish (10-2) remain at No. 9 while the Hoosiers (13-0) claimed the No. 1 spot in the APTop 25 for the first time in program history after outlasting previous No. 1 Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game on Saturday night.

IU was the unanimous pick for the the No. 1 spot, receiving all 66 votes as the Hoosiers look ahead to top seeding for their second straight appearance in the 12-team College Football Playoff.
