Just under nine months still remain before new head coach Alex Golesh leads Auburn onto the field for the first time, but that isn’t stopping anyone from talking about what next season could look like.

When Golesh was hired, the first thing many people talked about was his history an offensive coach. He’s helped lead productive offenses at USF over the past three seasons and was Josh Heupel’s offensive coordinator at Tennessee in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

His offensive success at both stops has created excitement for Auburn fans after three years of poor offense under Hugh Freeze.

“The run game, it sets up everything downfield in the pass game,” Golesh said of his offense in his introductory press conference. “We use the entire width of the field. We’ll condense it. We’ll expand it.
