WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. —
Local officials were requested for aid by Pennsylvania State Police after two dogs were found on the roof of an abandoned home on Saturday.

In a post from the Morris Township Volunteer Fire Department , officials were requested for assistance in rescuing two dogs from the roof of an abandoned home in Washington County.

Officials were able to remove brush and trees before they were able to set up ladders and safely retrieve them. They were placed into the hands of police officers before being taken to the Washington County Humane Society.
