A joint work session between the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly and Interior Alaska lawmakers on Thursday highlighted a stark underlying theme: a lack of resources and revenue that would impact local and state services alike.

The annual work session allows the Assembly to outline legislative and capital priorities to lawmakers ahead of the Alaska Legislature reconvening in Juneau in January. In turn, lawmakers provide insight on the upcoming legislative session and budget outlook.
