On a rainy day that made it difficult for both teams to move the ball consistently, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers repeatedly set the New Orleans Saints up with short fields, and paid the price in a frustrating 24-20 loss at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
The Buccaneers allowed a 54-yard kickoff return to start the game, failed on three short fourth-down attempts near midfield and threw an interception on their half of the field. The Saints' 11 possessions started at an average of their own 41-yard line, and their longest scoring drive of the day was 53 yards.
