CHINA SPRING, Texas — China Spring head football coach Tyler Beatty has resigned after four seasons leading the Cougars.
Beatty guided China Spring to a 4-8 record this season, ending with a 27-21 loss to La Marque in the second round of the playoffs. He compiled a 29-21 record during his tenure.
In his first year at the helm, Beatty led the Cougars back to the state championship game and delivered a 24-21 win over Boerne, capping the program’s second straight title run. He succeeded former head coach Brian Bell, who left for Baylor shortly after winning the 2021 state championship.
A 2006 graduate of Pflugerville High School, Beatty lettered in football and track before signing with Baylor as a quarterback. After the 2007 season, he transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University, whe
